Activist Demands Other Publications Drop 'Illegal Immigrant' After AP - via Breitbart.com After the Associated Press on Tuesday decided to drop the term "illegal immigrant" and expunge it from its style guide (used by nearly every journalist), activists then immediately began to demand other publications follow suit. Jose Antonio Vargas, the illegal immigrant who has gained publicity in recent years after he revealed that he did not have citizenship or legal status, tweeted, "You're next, @nytimes, @latimes, @washingtonpost, @WSJ. No human being is illegal." [...] Slate Features Duck Genitals Scientist Defending Her Study - via NewsBusters.org Most Americans would agree that a federal study -- burning through hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars by the way -- on duck penises is not exactly a high priority when we need to get our fiscal house in order. But Patricia Brennan would disagree with you, and she took to the liberal online journal Slate to do so last Tuesday. Wait, did I mention that Brennan has a vested interest in defending the study of duck dongs? She's a research professor at University of Massachusetts, Amherst receiving federal money for the study? And Now the video: The enemies of liberty are on the move.
Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein will introduce major gun control legislation on January 22nd. Here are some of the lowlights: Expands the definition of “assault weapon” by including:
Requires owners of existing “assault weapons” to register them with the federal government under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The NFA imposes a $200 tax per firearm, and requires an owner to submit photographs and fingerprints to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), to inform the BATFE of the address where the firearm will be kept, and to obtain the BATFE’s permission to transport the firearm across state lines. Prohibits the transfer of “assault weapons. Owners of other firearms, including those covered by the NFA, are permitted to sell them or pass them to heirs. However, under Feinstein’s new bill, “assault weapons” would remain with their current owners until their deaths, at which point they would be forfeited to the government Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:
Contact your member of Congress today and demand that they reject Feinstein's legislation. "Never let a crisis go to waste."
This statement made headlines when it was uttered by Barack Obama's former Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel. Reading this statement begs the question: how do you ensure that a crisis does not go to waste? Simple. If you are a Democrat, you expand government. Democrats always use turmoil and crises to push their big government, anti-individual agenda. From recessions and fiscal cliffs to mass shootings, the anti-liberty forces are constantly on the move. The fiscal cliff is being used by Democrats to seize more private property from individuals with the hopes of using this "revenue" to transfer it to others. This in turn will create more dependence on government (read: Democrats). Thus leading to a reduction of liberty for all involved. The same thing is happening this weekend in the aftermath of the horrific events in Connecticut. The smoke hadn't even cleared yet and liberals are already out attacking the Second Amendment. Barack Obama came out in favor of "meaningful action" in response to the shooting. Of course we all know what this means- gun control. A reduction of liberty via an expansion of government. The Democrats do not value liberty. They do not value freedom. They do not value independence. They want a strong state and a subservient people. And what better way to push this than using a crisis as a trojan horse filled with new regulations and an expanded governmental role in our lives? Dana Loesch over at Big Journalism has a story out that describes how several media members have given advice to the Occupy Wall Street movement on how to message their demands. "Big Journalism has learned that the Occupy Washington DC movement is working with well-known media members to craft its demands and messaging while these media members report on the movement. Someone has made the emails from the Occupy Wall Street email distro public and searchable. The names in the list are a veritable who’s who in media." I took a look at this database and decided to cross-reference it with the White House visitor's log. After about three seconds I found a connection: Harrison Schultz. Newsbusters has some commentary on Schultz as well as a video of him being interviewed by race-baiter extraordinaire Al Sharpton. According to Newsbusters: "Trust him--he might be young, but he's a "professional sociologist." So did Harrison Schultz, an organizer of the "Occupy Wall Street" protests, describe himself to Al Sharpton on MSNBC this evening. And he wants Al and us to know that "a lot of the people that are here are in fact anarchists, are in fact revolutionaries. . . . We don't really want to fix [the problems]. It's revolution, not reform." There are also some amusing factoids about Harrison. When he's not out fomenting revolution, Schultz is an . . . analyst for a marketing firm. Oh yeah, and in his oh-so-bourgeois LinkedIn profile, Harrison wants people to know he worked at Bank of America providing "assistance for several investment bankers." So we have Harrison Schultz, an anarchist and a hypocrite (more on his hypocrisy later). That's who this guy is. Ok, so now let me connect the dots with graphical evidence. Here is a screen capture of an email sent by Schultz. (Click on the picture to get a better view.) He loves the revolution talk doesn't he? Anyway, notice his full name. Because.... a Harrison T. Schultz is listed on the White House visitor's log. No one know what the meeting was about because the description of the meeting was left off the log. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe it isn't. However, knowing this administration, I would go with the latter. How many more radicals is this administration going to be tied to? I'm sure there are other connections between the White House and the OWS movement that we will never know about. All I'm saying is that this whole thing stinks. On a lighter note, we all are aware of the hypocrisy of these protestors. They trash capitalism. They decry the terrible corporations while they talk away on their iPhones and type away on their computers. So when I came across this email from Schultz, my irony meter snapped into a million pieces. (Click for better resolution) "...has offered to help me learn how to use adsense to make some cash for the occupation."
Are you kidding me? Here you have someone who is part of an anti-capitalist movement that is using that movement to make a.....profit. This is always a problem with the Left. They want all of their authoritarian rules to apply to everyone but them. Corporations can't make money but Leftists can? What happened to 'people over profits?' |
