From what I have seen in these last six years, our president has not done a sufficient job at uniting the American people. In fact, he has frequently been dubbed by many as “the great divider.” Discrimination is being portrayed and discussed as if we’re reliving the historic sins of our past. The so-called “war on women”…what is that? It is so frequently shoved down our throats by democrats as if it’s an everyday battle, but I have yet to experience this “war.”
What kind of leadership wants their followers to perpetually relive their failures? What kind of leadership bridles their followers from moving forward and advancing towards success?
Like I’ve summarized above, I have heard anger, bitterness and resentment from both sides of the isle. I have also tried to reason and understand each side’s prospective. I can’t help but question why and what has caused such a septic society. What has poisoned our American spirit? What happened to our President uniting us? What happened to leadership? What happened to compromise? What happened to responsibility and accountability? What happened to the land of opportunity? What happened to our unwavering patriotism? What happened to our freedom to choose what is best for us as individuals? What happened to our desire to do what is right, even when it’s not easy?
Our current leadership is nothing like I have ever witnessed or even read about. I want you to chew on these quotes and let them percolate in your mind for just a second. “We’ve been a little bit lazy over the last couple of decades,” President Obama said. “We’ve kind of taken for granted — ‘Well, people would want to come here’ — and we aren’t out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new businesses into America.” I still can’t believe he said that. I for one will never be okay with our President calling us lazy! The first time I heard him say that, my mind was instantly flooded with vivid imagery of WWII and the Great Depression. We are RESILIANT!
Prior to that loaded comment, the first lady publically stated, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country…not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.”
How about when President Obama was jet setting the globe for his apology tour? In 2009 Obama made a speech in France and stated, “In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.” Wait…hold up a second…what?
Is this the new indoctrination? It pains me to see and hear our current leadership refer to our nation as second-rate. This is why Obama’s 2012 slogan “forward” really fated this nation to fall backwards.
