2016 GOP Presidential Musings-Scott Walker

I've heard it's way too early to talk 2016 politics, and yet.... everyone has their ideas.  Whether people want Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, or any of the never-ending name of potential candidates, everyone has already started the process of picking potential candidates in their mind.  And so, in my first post in a rather long while, I've decided to talk about some of the potential candidates from a conservative viewpoint. I want to start off taking a few weeks going through each potential candidate generally, before going into my reasons for or against each.  First today comes Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

I'll start off talking about Scott Walker, the Governor of Wisconsin.  Obviously, the first images that comes to mind when thinking of Walker's history are the right-to-work issues that took over Wisconsin.  I won't go over those here, but those issues do tend to provide a unique set of circumstances both in favor and against nominating him.  He presents a unique background-as a man who strongly focused on economic topics in his home state, and who did it well, he can easily adopt the mantle of the strong fiscal-minded conservative.  However, he is hated by the labor movement, particularly by public sector unions.  He also has an almost-unheard of history, being forced to run for election on three separate occasions in four years.  This has given him a large amount of experience,  winning as a conservative in a traditionally liberal state (Obama won the state with 56% and 52% in 2008 and 2012, respectively), and also as a target of nationwide attention (his recall election, in May 2012, was the subject of nationwide scrutiny).
